Steven J. Weed, 53, of Bethlehem, passed away February 24, 2025. Born in Richland, WA, he was the son of the late Louis Steven Weed and the late Barbara (Morrison) Sokolsky. Steven was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Allentown and their Senior Group. He enjoyed puzzling, playing Wordle and creating video games on his computer. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors: siblings- Mike Weed and his wife Lisa, John Weed, Jim Weed and his wife Angelina, Lynne Maynard and her husband Matt, Andy Weed, Jerry Weed, Barbara Kozo and her husband Benjamin; nieces and nephews- Elizabeth, Brooke, Bailey, Lucille, Simon, Will and Jack.
A Calling Time will be held Tuesday, March 4th 9-10AM with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10AM all in Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Inurnment to follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Margaret Weirbach
Margaret M. Weirbach, 90, of Bethlehem, passed away October 27, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late Calvin E. Weirbach Jr. Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marion Boehm. Margaret was of the Christian faith. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: son- Frederick F. Gestl, 3 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson. She was predeceased by her sister- Edith Beatty, brothers- Clarence, Wilber and Herbert Boehm.
A viewing will be held Friday, November 1st 1:00-1:30PM with a Service to follow at 1:30PM in Downing Funeral Home, Inc. 1002 W. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial to follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
Joanne Wuest
Joanne M. (Marona) Wuest, 94, a longtime resident of Historic Bethlehem passed away December 30th, 2023. Born in the small village of Millbrook, NY she was the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Anna (Piacentino) Marona. Joanne graduated from Mount St. Vincent College with a Bachelor’s degree in English and then her Master’s in Special Education from Penn State University in 1973. Joanne began her teaching career in Manhattan, NY before working as a Special Education Teacher for the Bethlehem Area School District for 23 years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and served as an organist for many years at St. Ursula Catholic Church, St. Anne’s Catholic Church, and Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church. She was a volunteer for the Bethlehem Public Library and was a member of the PA Retired Teachers of Bethlehem, and Northampton County. She loved her 1890 Queen Anne house and enjoyed playing the piano every day, especially Bach. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: sons- Joseph M. Wuest, Peter F. Wuest, John S. Wuest; daughter- Clare Ogden; 6 grandchildren; brothers- John Marona and Edward Marona. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated January 27th, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. located at Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will take place at a later date in the family plot in Millbrook, New York.
Richard Wasko
Richard G. Wasko, 92, of Bethlehem, passed away January 27, 2023. He was the loving husband of the late Frances H. (Ernst) Wasko. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Matthew and Helen (Kucera) Wasko. Richard graduated in 1948 from Bethlehem Vo-tech. He then served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1951 on the USS Midway. Richard retired from the Bethlehem Fire Dept. Engine 9 in 1987 after 27 years of service. Richard then worked as a driver for the Morning Call. He was a member of Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church. He was a fan of Lehigh University Sports, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies. Richard also enjoyed listening to Polka music. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors: sons- Richard Wasko Jr. and Gregory P. Wasko; grandchildren- Mark, Matthew, Joshua, Jacob and Anna Clarie; great grandchildren- Claire, Michael, Jackson and Porter; sister- Rita Yob. He was predeceased by his son- Christopher and siblings- George, Irene, Joseph, Matthew II, John and Helen.

Wesley West Sr.
Wesley “Wes” John West Sr. of Bethlehem passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 14, 2022. He is survived by his devoted wife Donna, children Wesley Jr. (Christina), Tammy (Edwin), and Cindy, adored grandchildren, and two sisters, Germaine and Charlotte. Wes was born in Baltimore Maryland on June 29, 1950 and lived most of his life in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He was very proud of being a business owner from the age of 16, when he started his lifelong career at his business WW General Construction. He was proud of his family and enjoyed the company of his friends. Wes’ family is hosting a memorial on Saturday, September 24 2022, at West Side Republican Club (1207 W. Broad St. in Bethlehem) from 1-4 pm.
Dale Wiles
Dale R. Wiles, 54 of Allentown, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. Born in Emmitsburg, MD, he was the son of Robert and Carolyn Wiles.
He was a 1986 graduate of Catoctin High School, a 1990 graduate of Elizabethtown College, and a 1995 Graduate of The Weidner University Law School where he earned his Juris Doctor. Dale worked for Broc Kitchens & Bath and was part of the very large family of all who worked there.
One of Dale’s biggest accomplishments was being a father. Dale was blessed with two children, a daughter Sophia and son Ethan, who were the loves of his life. Dale loved attending their soccer games, and was proudly the loudest parent on the sidelines. Regardless of what was happening, Dale tried to always be there for his children through their ups and downs and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer. He was always quick with a smile to anyone he knew followed by a joke to make you laugh.
Dale was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Wiles, paternal grandparents George Arthur and Margaret C. Wiles, and maternal grandparents Rhett and Leona Petcher.
Dale is survived by his beloved children, Sophia Wiles and Ethan Wiles, parents Robert and Carolyn Wiles, sister Laurie and brother-in-law Maurice Arenas; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Burial to follow in Bush Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Daniel Weiskopf
Daniel Karl Weiskopf, 78, of Bethlehem, passed away March 12, 2022. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Daniel A. and Grace (Williams) Weiskopf. He graduated from Liberty High School, from Moravian College and attended Lehigh University. Daniel was a self-employed contractor in the remodeling industry for many years. He enjoyed playing golf and traveling. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his sister- Wilhelmina Weiskopf Neal, nieces, nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his brother- Frank E. Weiskopf.

Ruth Weaver
Ruth (Anderson) Weaver, 97, of Bethlehem, passed away October 4, 2021. She was the wife of the late Calvin W. Weaver. She worked previously for the former Rickels Store. She was a member of Rosemont Lutheran Church. Ruth enjoyed cooking, tending to her plants and bird watching. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors: grandchildren- Brett Weaver and Toni Weaver, brother- Edward Anderson, brother-in-law- Edward Weaver and his wife Karla, nephew- Thomas Sterner, niece- Judith Curran. She was predeceased by her son- Rick Weaver.
